Animals Are People Too
Communicate with the Four-legged People in Your Life

Our Beach Dogs

Recently a client from New Jersey called me.  He was worried about his horse, Wanagi, who had been moved to a different farm and the client was concerned that he wasn’t adjusting well.  I told him I would find out what was going on with Wanagi.
Armed with Wanagi’s picture, name and age I began connecting in with the unique vibration of energy that is Wanagi and communicating with him.

His name means ‘Spirit’, and he lives up to his name!  Interestingly the word animal derives from the word ‘Animus’ which means ‘soul’ or ‘breath of life’.  The word ‘animal’ was hardly used before the 1600’s and then mostly by scholars.  To many societies the creatures or beasts were simply considered a ‘people’ just as humans are people.  In various scriptures, animals were often associated with divine forces, specifically gods and goddesses.  Many of the divine beings referred to are also considered animals or referred to as beasts.

In my communication with Wanagi, I asked some questions about his new living arrangements and he told me that he felt ‘out of his comfort zone’.  The ‘stunts’ he used to pull didn’t seem to impress anyone here.  He added that he felt as if he was trying to sleep in a place filled with hyperactive preschoolers that wouldn’t ‘shut up’.  He then showed me some carpentry nails and his left front hoof.

When I spoke with his person I relayed the entire conversation to him.  Wanagi’s personality comes through as slightly sarcastic, dry humor with much affection for his person.  As I told the client what Wanagi had to say, he started laughing.  Apparently my client had moved Wanagi to a farm closer to his home and yes there were some carpentry nails on the barn floor that had been cleaned up.  When he heard about the ‘preshcoolers’ he was speechless.

“Lisa,” he said, “I moved him to a goat farm and he’s in a barn with about 20 baby goats!”  Poor Wanagi!

My husband always shakes his head when I call out, “Okay people lets go for a walk.”  Of course, I’m referring to our dogs and of course they come running excited to be going.  They might not be people as our society refers to people, but they are a four-legged variety of people nonetheless.

It is amazing to communicate with the animals.  They each have such distinct, unique personalities and their personalities come through when I talk with them.  Their people confirm this when I conference with them and the four-legged people are always very grateful to get their time to say something.  It’s a wonderful way to make sure their needs are being met or to correct (better understand) a behavioral issue.

As a self-taught animal communicator, I’ve found that it is a natural ability that anyone can learn.  Well actually, rediscover the ability.

Recently, my husband pointed out that this natural ability of humans can be seen in what is left out in the book of Genesis.  When the serpent approaches Eve and begins speaking with her, she engages in conversation with him.  She didn’t shout, scream, run away and become afraid because an animal began talking to her.  Nope, she spoke with the serpent like she would have any animal.  After all, speaking to the animals was natural and normal to her.  So, it is with us as well when we allow ourselves to rediscover this ability that is within us.

The neat thing is that it’s never too late to ‘rediscover’ our natural abilities as human people.  I’ve had women in their 70’s all the way down to children learn (actually rediscover) how to communicate telepathically with animals.  It’s actually easy and fun, after all it’s something we all can innately do.  The best part about talking with four-legged ‘people’ is the sense of oneness you feel with all of life when you are doing it.

One very memorable client was a veterinarian in Canada.  She asked me to speak with a number of her cats and when I had finished, she was speechless.  “How did you ‘know’ all those details about me, my cats and my boyfriend?” she asked.  That was an easy answer, “Your four-legged ‘people’ told me.”  This was a pivotal moment for her and since then has made many changes in her life and veterinarian work.  She’s even taken an animal communication class in Canada.

Amazingly, the most common theme I continue to hear from the animals is that they are here to help the ‘human people’ in their experience of life.  After all, the word ‘animal’ derives from the Latin word ‘Animus’ meaning ‘Soul’ or ‘Breath of Life’ and I have yet to have met an animal that didn’t feel like a breath of (fresh) life!
