SEA SALT BATH
IMPORTANT NOTE:Some minerals, stones and crystals can be detrimentally affected by salt (i.e. Selenite, Calcite, etc).If you are unsure if a particular Gemstone, Mineral or Crystal will be detrimentally affected by salt, either look up the properties of your stone in a reliable resource that discusses the physical properties of your minerals, stones and crystals or use one of the other methods outlined in this section.
Place the Gemstone, Mineral or Crystal that you wish to cleanse in the bottom of a bowl or other container (the size will be determined by the size of the item you are intending to cleanse).Completely cover the gemstone, mineral, crystal or object with dry sea salt (be sure there is no moisture in the bowl or on the object in the bowl) until it is completely covered.Let it set in the sea salt is approximately 8 hours (this is recommended by various sources, however, the length of time may vary by the source you consult, therefore, use your inner voice to guide what is right for you).You may also wish to state your intentions that the objects be cleansed and charged.
FREEZER METHOD
This method is easy and simple.Place your Gemstone, Mineral, Crystal or object in the freezer for a period of 2 to 4 hours.If you feel the item is not cleansed after this period, extend the time in the freezer for as long as you feel is necessary.A statement of intent is also acceptable.
